8 Certifications that Will Impress Your Recruiter
by Emma • Jum, 10 Jan 2020 06:48PG
Degrees and certifications might not be the most important thing when applying for a job nowadays, given that more companies are now looking to hire attitude over skills, as written in a report. However, it does not mean that they are useless. They can be the first thing that gets recruiter’s attention when shortlisting your resume.
Certification can also add a little extra consideration for recruiters to hire you regardless of whether your resume aligns with the job you apply or not. Sometimes, educational qualifications do not measure up to the job requirements. Hence, the additional certifications can prove to be helpful in this case. Effective knowledge in particular expertise as shown in a certificate that is required for the applied position can improve your chances of getting the job. Even better, you might be offered a better position because you have certifications and can prove the skills to your employer.

However, there are a bunch of certification out there that you can pursue. Which one should you attach to your resume? Here are some chosen certifications that will help you survive in the digital era of recruitment.
1- Certification that aligns with your dream career
The most important certification you should attach is those that align with the job you’re applying. A recruiter will love to see that you have a bunch of skills and certificates to prove it. But if none of the certifications aligns with the job, the recruiter might think that you are confused with what you really want to do in life and career. This is bad for your own reputation.
2- Project Management Certifications (PMP)
Having Project Management Certification ensures your readiness to meet the demands of projects and employers across the globe. 6- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

8- Certified In Risk And Information Systems Control (CRISC)
CRISC is a certification that prepares and enables IT professionals for unique challenges of IT and enterprise risk management and positions them to become strategic partners to the enterprise. Commonly, employers look forward to this certification because it brings additional professionalism to any organisation as candidates can demonstrate a quantifiable standard of knowledge and adhere to a standard of ethical conduct.
Additional advice
If you have 15 or more certifications, you probably need to sort them out and attach at least 5 to 7 of the most relevant and/or updated ones. Generally, a resume is only two pages in length so do not exceed the maximum because it will only make your resume look flowery and unprofessional.
