Roles & Responsibilities
Job Overview:
- The Head of Operations Services will oversee the operational functions supporting both Corporate and Private Banking. This role emphasizes operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and product knowledge to ensure seamless service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in managing banking operations, with a strong focus on supporting complex client needs and a variety of banking products.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Lead and manage end-to-end operations for Corporate and Private Banking, including trade finance, treasury settlements, cash management, and client onboarding.
- Oversee operational support for a range of banking products, including loans, deposits, investment products, and structured finance solutions.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of high-value and complex transactions for private and corporate clients.
2. Product Knowledge and Support
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of banking products and services offered to corporate and private clients, including investment products, structured deposits, and lending solutions.
- Collaborate with product teams to operationalize new offerings and ensure readiness for market launches.
- Provide operational insights to enhance product development and client experience.
3. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure strict compliance with MAS regulations, AML/CFT policies, and other regulatory guidelines applicable to Corporate and Private Banking operations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring robust internal controls and processes.
- Lead the branch through audits and regulatory reviews, ensuring effective resolution of findings.
4. Client-Centric Operations
- Partner with Relationship Managers to address and resolve operational challenges faced by high-value clients.
- Develop and implement client-centric processes to enhance service delivery for private and corporate clients.
- Actas a key point of contact for operational queries, providing tailored solutions to meet client needs.
5. Strategic Leadership
- Drive operational efficiency through process optimization, technology adoption, and automation initiatives.
- Align operational strategies with the business objectives of the Corporate and Private Banking divisions.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure consistency and alignment across operational practices.
6. Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Provide training to enhance the team’s product knowledge and operational expertise.
- Build a resilient team capable of adapting to evolving client needs and market demands.
Key Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in banking operations, with significant exposure to Corporate and Private Banking.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, including trade finance, investment products, treasury services, and structured finance.
- Proven expertise in managing operations in a highly regulated environment, with a strong understanding of MAS requirements.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in implementing technology-driven operational enhancements is a plus.
