Job Description
Job Requirement
- Strong experience in Android OS development, specifically AOSP upgrades and porting.
- Hands-on experience in Android Framework, HAL, BSP, and Kernel development.
- Experience working with Android build systems (Soong, Bazel, Makefiles).
- Proficiency in C, C++, Java, and Kotlin for Android development.
- Strong debugging skills using Logcat, GDB, and other debugging tools.
- Experience with SoC platforms (Qualcomm, MediaTek, NXP, etc.).
- Familiarity with device drivers, bootloaders, and system performance optimization.
- Understanding of OTA mechanisms, secure boot, and Android security patches.
- Experience in CTS/VTS/GTS validation and certification processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good to Have:
- Experience with hypervisors and virtualization in automotive/embedded Android systems.
- Knowledge of Android Automotive (AAOS) or IVI systems.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the Android version upgrade process from older versions to the latest, ensuring compatibility and stability.
- Work with AOSP (Android Open Source Project) to integrate and test new releases.
- Update and modify the Android Framework, HAL, and BSP layers as needed.
- Debug and resolve build, kernel, and system stability issues during the upgrade.
- Optimize system performance and memory usage after the upgrade.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and QA, to ensure a successful rollout.
- Work on integrating new security patches and enhancements in the upgraded OS.
- Ensure compliance with Google’s CTS, VTS, and GMS certification requirements.
