Role Purpose
The Business Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a specialized recruitment business unit, ensuring efficient and effective performance. This role begins as an individual contributor with the goal of building a team upon achieving business justification. The Business Manager is expected to manage the full recruitment cycle, implement growth strategies, and monitor business performance to drive profitability and achieve company goals. A key strength required for this role is strong business development capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the 360-degree recruitment cycle including business development, client servicing, and talent acquisition.
- Drive new business opportunities through client prospecting, sales pitching, and account penetration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and candidates.
- Responsible for the P&L (Profit and Loss) of your business unit.
- Strive for excellence in achieving sales and recruitment targets.
- Continuously improve profitability and business efficiency.
- Progress toward building your own team as your portfolio and workload scale.
- Supervise and manage team members, including task delegation, providing guidance and feedback, and ensuring team members have the necessary resources to perform effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum 4–6 years of working experience in 360° recruitment (agency environment preferred).
- Strong business development or B2B sales experience with a proven track record.
- Demonstrated success in acquiring and managing client accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial, leadership skills and results-oriented.
- Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Experience in managing a niche or specialized desk is an added advantage.
