Responsibilities / Introduction

  • Overseeing the operations of manufacturing plants and warehouses including manufacturing and production systems, equipment, utilities and facilities maintenance management, staffing cost control and materials planning to meet best manufacturing practices, Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements and relevant standards
  • Assists Company in the development and formulation of long and short-term planning, policies, strategies and objectives for the manufacturing plant. Reviews key performance indicators (KPI) on a regular basis to determine if operation targets are being met; implements techniques that can be used to accurately measure KPI
  • Develops the manufacturing plan and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established Marketing Authorisation and quality standards
  • Plans, monitors and directs operations establishes priorities, balancing effective customer service and cost factors and optimizing utilization of people and equipment with a just-in-time environment. Achieves optimum employee levels with appropriate amount of overhead and material costs to meet annual budgetary plan. Ensures that effective systems are in place to track and manage cost and schedule requirements; makes affected employees aware of these systems and takes measures to confirm that all assigned programs and activities are managed according to both stated requirements and company procedure
  • Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensures compliance with current applicable safety, regulatory and cGMP requirements
  • Directs and monitors department managers to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and quality procedures. Creates a culture of accountability by motivating, coaching, and counseling. Directs and maintains activities designed to achieve and maintain high employee morale. Develops a highly motivated and well-trained multi-functional team capable of reaching both short and long-term staffing requirements and business objectives
  • Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and waste, monitor waste and rework data. Directs the establishment, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing standards
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Engineering or Science degree
  • Minimum 8 years of related working experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical field
  • Possess strong leadership and management skills
  • Experience in GMP and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess a board background in manufacturing with a wide range of knowledge on pharmaceutical manufacturing and production processes
