Job Requirement
We are assisting a leading Taiwanese bank in hiring a Senior Relationship Manager (RM) specializing in Indian large corporates, with a strong focus on West India. This role is based in Singapore for the first two years, followed by relocation to Mumbai, India, to lead the bank’s expansion in the Indian market. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with corporate clients in bilateral transactions, export financing, factoring, and FX deals.

- Singapore (First 2 Years)
- Mumbai, India (Post-Relocation)
Responsibilities:
- Originate bilateral transactions with Indian corporates (not focused on banks/NBFCs), with an emphasis on export financing, factoring, and FX solutions.
- Develop and manage client portfolios in the West India market, driving business development and relationship management with large Indian corporates.
- Lead the preparation of credit applications, including renewals and facility enhancements, guiding junior RMs and ARMs in the process.
- Conduct financial analysis and manage credit facility approval processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and market regulations.
- Oversee credit asset reviews, negotiate foreign currency trade finance deals, and handle external commercial borrowings.
- Collaborate with senior management on credit proposals and obtain credit approvals for large corporate clients.
- Build and manage new business pipelines for Indian corporate banking, focusing on acquiring top-tier clients in West India.
Job Responsibilities
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 15+ years of banking experience, with at least 10+ years in corporate banking working with large Indian corporates.
- Proven experience in bilateral transaction origination and managing corporate portfolios in West India, specifically in export financing, factoring, and FX transactions.
- Expertise in credit analysis, financial statement reviews, and RBI regulatory guidelines related to foreign currency trade finance.
- Excellent relationship management and client acquisition skills, with a track record of building long-term partnerships with Indian corporates.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and guide junior team members through complex credit processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory, with Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred. MBA or CFA qualifications are a plus.
- Strong understanding of the Indian corporate market and West India business environment.
- Willingness to relocate to Singapore for the first two years, and subsequently to Mumbai, India.
