Job Requirement
This vacancy is open for any nation candidate and to be based in any Global Offices present
- Strong knowledge on various polymer applications in Papermaking Processes, as well as in water treatment Operations
- Familiar with different types of polymers and its applications, able to provide valuable feedbacks to product development team in enhancing our technology and product line
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- 8 years of experience in Chemical supplier supplying Polymers to Paper Industry or Industrial water treatment. Working experience as Product manager is an advantage
- Thorough knowledge of the company's markets, products, services, systems, and production processes
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required to analyze products and applications to meet customer needs
- Able to speak and write in English, Mandarin is an advantage as the position requires Him/Her to liaise with English and Mandarin Speaking Associates
- Good command of computer knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good interpersonal, communication, problem solving and supervisory skill
- Willing to travel
Job Responsibilities
Product manager coordinating the Product Activities starting from creating business plan, Conducting market analysis, managing Product Innovation and Portfolio, Managing New Product launch, Managing Product sales and profitability, Evaluating competitions, and conducting trainings for sales team
Technical marketing focuses on the specifications and key features of products / services provided, designed to appeal to customers with a base technological understanding of the products / services. This type of marketing centers on the details of how a product or service works, how it suits the needs and benefit the user, and how it is better than competitive offerings
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Business Plan : Discuss the business plan for each product group under direct responsibility with the Group product manager. The business plan should align with Amazon business planning and strategic intent. Prepare detailed implementation / execution of the plan and regularly review the implementations
Sales and Profitability analysis : Assesses product sales and profitability collected from accounting and sales departments. Review current selling and pricing strategies. Develop sales and profitability strategies and improvements
Conduct Customer and Market Analysis : Determine customers' needs and desires by using information from sales team or other resources available internally and externally, Make a regular estimate of product market share using inputs from sales managers, and use the information to develop product sales strategies. Understanding the current and potential users of company’s products and services as well as broader market in order to best serve their needs. This market research can be developed internally or by external team / consultant. Use market research data and knowledge to communicate with target market effectively and create advertising materials for the products / services and place them in strategic media / events.
Managing Product Portfolio : Conduct regular review and consolidation of current Product portfolio and make necessary changes
Competition analysis : Assesses competition by comparing the company's to competitors' approaches, products, and services
Managing Product / Application Innovations : Base on feedbacks on market trends and customer demands, work closely with the Technology team in driving development of new products by recommending product changes, enhancements, and extension, as well as identifying new-product opportunities. Also, work with the application team to formulate the way to deliver and apply the products / services to best serve customer needs. Constantly look for innovative ways to improve our applications and monitoring by development of innovative tools / approaches to improve current system, procedures, and troubleshooting capability of sales team, improve our competitive edge, and expand our market coverage
Manage New Product launch : Introduces and markets new products by developing time- integrated plans with sales, product development, equipment, marketing, purchasing, and logistic. Develop marketing tools for new product launch such as customer presentation, example of proposal and service report, identification of target customers, etc Utilize the Qlik Product Manager dashboard and monthly sales report for quick updating and accurate analysis of sales trend, as well as monitor the trend of new product sales in the various regions
Comunicate Market, Product, and Application Knowledge
Plan and Execute promotional Strategies
Identify and Participate in important paper exhibitions to ensure we get the ROI from our participation. Publish papers / articles in Pulp & Paper seminars, magazines, etc Coordinate the development and release of case histories and technical articles.
Participate in the development and implementation of product demonstrations, training programs, and projects for sales staff and customers for existing and/or new product lines
Provides technical supports to the sales team to promote the product line and to ensure proper application of the product and improve our competitive edge in strategic customers
/ prospects. Evaluate the effectiveness of training and recommends improvements. Participate in the analysis of commercial and field trial results. Develop plans with sales to convert customers to best practices or products that improve profitability.
